LITTLEFIELD EYE ASSOCIATES COVID-19 – Updated Safety Practices
We will be open by scheduled appointments beginning May 18, 2020.

We are very excited to start seeing our amazing Littlefield patients again, but with the ongoing pandemic, we are taking all necessary CDC recommended safety precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and our patients.

There are several office policy updates that are critical to helping stop the spread of the coronavirus. To avoid any confusion, please read the updated policies below. Thank you again to our patients for your patience and understanding as we navigate our way through these unusual times.


Eye Exams/Office Visits:
visitsIn anticipation of your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email to let the office know that you plan to keep your scheduled appointment. Once you confirm your appointment, a link will be emailed to you that contains documents that must be completed electronically before the day of your appointment. We are no longer asking patients to fill this paperwork out by hand. Simply click on the link and fill out any information that needs to be updated.

Any updates to your INSURANCE, MEDICAL and HEALTH HISTORY must be completed electronically prior to arriving for your appointment.

When you arrive for your appointment, STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE and call the office at (816) 523-8421. You will be asked a series of health related, PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS.

Once your PRE-CHECK-IN is completed, WAIT IN YOUR VEHICLE and a Littlefield Staff Member will come out to escort you inside the office, at which time YOUR TEMPERATURE WILL BE TAKEN.


SELECTING NEW EYEWEAR:

In order to regulate patients touching and trying glasses on, we are not permitting independent browsing and try-ons in the OPTIQUE at Littlefield. Each frame that a patient comes into contact with must be hand washed before putting back out for another patient to try on.

EYEWEAR ADJUSTMENTS/REPAIRS – CURBSIDE:

Your frames will be taken into the office by an optician to be extensively sanitized, and then adjusted/repaired for you.

Your frames are then sanitized again and placed on a tray, usually in an airtight plastic bag and brought out to your vehicle.


FACEMASKS REQUIRED – PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPTMENT:
We are requiring all patients to wear a FACEMASK while visiting Littlefield. Staff members are also wearing FACEMASKS as well as other PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPTMENT, as needed while interacting with patients in the office.

please do not bring guestsWe are attempting to limit patient interactions in an effort to practice safe social distancing.
Minors may be accompanied by ONE Guardian/Adult.


ADDITIONAL COVID-19 SAFETY PRACTICES AT LITTLEFIELD:
We care about the health and safety of our staff and patients and we have made major changes to help keep everyone safe during the pandemic.
1. We have increased our ROUTINE OFFICE CLEANINGS throughout the day, sanitizing surfaces in each department.
2. All eyewear that a patient touches or tries on is washed.
3. There are new custom plexiglass partitions at the Front Desk as well as on the dispensing tables in the OPTIQUE.
